Duke here. Obviously I'm a stunner with my handsome orange and white coat, but what my picture doesn't show is how personable I really am. When I first came into Pet Orphans I was a tad hesitant so I would curl up in a little cubby and watch all the happenings around me. Now that I've been here a bit I have come to understand that humans are wonderful creatures who give out love and affection, and sometimes cat treats. I am a very sweet lady who will make a wonderful addition to any home. I am calm, but will play if you put one of those little mice in front of me, but more than anything I like to be loved. And I love to give love. Hmmm, I said "love" a lot in my bio – must be what I'm feeling.

Wow, what can I say about myself? Well, I looooooove humans and am great with other cats. I don't like those "dog" things mostly because they think they're better than me and, well, they're just not. I am affectionate, incredibly gorgeous and have long, luxurious hair. I will require regular brushing to keep me at my most handsome but I love that bonding time we can spend together. At first when I arrived here at Pet Orphans with my little suitcase, I just did my unpacking and decided to stay put way up high in a cubby. But, as I got braver, I realized that the other cats are my friends and humans are the greatest! I now will lounge around waiting for you to pet me. And if you don't seek me out, I will come to you for some nuzzles. I have re-packed my suitcase and am ready for you to come and pick me up and take me to my new permanent home!

I have truly turned into a different cat since I've been here at Pet Orphans. I was shy and tentative at first but now I am an outgoing little lady in need of human attention. I will meow at you until you reach down to pet me and will flop down at your side, awaiting your affection. I'm adorably kissable and have a sweet personality filled with kitten-like spunk. With all the dog-like roll-overs I do, I will keep you constantly laughing. As e.e. cummings wrote, "The most wasted of all days is one without laughter."

Dogs Okay, Cats Okay

Okay, get out your tissues because I have a very sad tail (get it?) to tell. I was adopted out of here four years ago only to be brought back this week through no fault of my own! I am the sweetest, most loving cat you could ever hope for and at 12 years old I am so fearful I won't get into a home again where I can be loved and adored just like I deserve. I love people and other cats and am full of kitten-like spunk. I love to chat and if you have a warm lap I am so happy I will purr and grin from ear to ear. Won't you open your heart and your home to me? Even though this Pet Orphans place is nice, I am very saddened to have to be back here again. I know that I have many more years to share with my new family and I know you'll wonder how you ever lived without me.

So, I'm a little "round" you might say, but that doesn't stop me from reaching my paws up to you for lovin'. I am a very gentle soul who adores humans and sleeps all sprawled out like a dog (adorable if I must say so). While I was saddened at first to be brought back here to Pet Orphans with my friend Melody (I think our owner had to move) I am re-adjusted in just a matter of days which just proves how adaptable I am. I guess I'm not very photogenic because my picture does not do me justice at all. In person, I am an absolutely adorable tabby mixed with a tortie. Too cute for words! The very moment you step into the cathouse you will see me sitting with my feet tucked under (I like to call it "kitty loaf" because I look like a loaf of bread with a cat head), awaiting your attention.
