The Wisdom Panel MX Mixed Breed Analysis is the most comprehensive DNA-based mixed breed test for dogs. Blood samples from thousands of AKC and UKC certified purebred dogs have been closely analyzed to detect specific combinations of genetic markers to help reveal the breed heritage of mixed breed dogs. The Wisdom Panel can detect 134 AKC-recognized breeds that might be present in a dog. In addition to satisfying your natural curiosity, finding out what breeds your mutt is made of can have health and training benefits as well. Some breeds are predisposed to certain illnesses, so knowing your dog's genetic makeup can help your vet know what to look out for.

A simple blood sample is drawn from the dog and mailed to the Wisdom Panel lab for analysis. Test results come back within 2 to 4 weeks, listing with 95% accuracy a genetic history dating as far back as 3 generations.
