Rover's Retreat has been designed to simulate a real home like environment to offer our dogs a chance to relax and enjoy
time away from their kennel. Volunteers are trained to focus their time in Rover's Retreat to establish good home manners
in preparation for their acclamation once adopted into forever homes. You can often walk by and see a dog enjoying the
company of a human companion while watching TV or hearing of great adventures via story time with our book nook volunteers.
We have found through mere observation we can learn so much about our four-legged friends and what to expect from them
behaviorally in their new homes, which helps us in educating the new guardians on means to prevent behavior issues during
acclamation.
